Moscow. VEDOMOSTI (MOSCOW). Yesterday the leaders of the
Union of the Right-Wing Forces party (SPS) started negotiating integration
with Yabloko. Yabloko Deputy chairman Sergey
Ivanenko confirmed that they had been discussing the democratic coalition
and a single presidential contender for the presidential poll to be held
soon. "I'm sure they will succeed", he added.
The list of presidential contenders and coalition members is rather large.
Yabloko's leader Grigory Yavlinsky
expressed his plans to enroll Mikhail Gorbachev for the coalition and
exclude Mikhail Khodorkovsky from possible presidential nominees.
At the current time, they discussed the establishment of a broad democratic
coalition of parties. In the words of Sergey
Mitrokhin, the Yabloko deputy chairman, specified that the issue of
setting up a united party was not operable. "Nobody takes it seriously",
he added.
