Moscow, November 13, 2003. (RIA Novosti). The YABLOKO
party is ready for further cooperation with the Union of Right-Wing Forces
(SPS), deputy chairman of the YABLOKO faction in the State Duma Sergei
Ivanenko said, commenting on the statement by SPS leader Anatoly Chubais.
"We shall continue cooperating with the SPS,
for instance, we have appointed single-mandate
candidates and engaged in active cooperation in the State Duma of this
convocation and hope
to continue it in the next State Duma," the deputy said.
However, some SPS members conduct an information war against YABLOKO, he
noted.
"YABLOKO associates all statements regarding ultimatums with the election
campaign,"
Ivanenko concluded.
Earlier on Thursday SPS co-chairman Anatoly Chubais said that the Union
of Right-Wing Forces would seek to unify all Russia's democratic forces
without YABLOKO and its leader Grigory
Yavlinsky.
According to Chubais, Yavlinsky did not answer his proposal "to give
up personal ambitions
and start unifying democratic forces".
Chubais considers it a refusal.
