Question: Grigory Alexeevich we have just started publishing a journal that will attempt to establish a dialogue between Yabloko and the business sector. Do you think that such cooperation may be useful for both sides? In addition, what tasks can be solved by our journal?

Grigory Yavlinsky: In my opinion, the main goal is to provide entrepreneurs with an opportunity to communicate through our journal. Then they will be able to formulate common positions to resolve the key problems - tax policy, protection of property, the security and investment regime. Secondly, the journal has to develop its political line - the attitude of entrepreneurs to the authorities and stability in the country. Russia needs to alter now a situation where only the representatives of large financial oligarchic groups can influence developments in the country. There should be some public opinion - the opinion of the common people protecting their property and their right to live normal lives. Only then will people be able to work without risking their lives: a teacher to teach, a doctor to cure and a businessman to engage in business... In my opinion entrepreneurship is like sex - it has always been, is and will be. Simply a state can create normal conditions, and than everything is Ok. Or the state can stimulate different perversions and mock its people. In that case entrepreneurship will develop in another direction, as developments in our country are commanded by the authorities. An entrepreneur can be very useful for his country, or he can be harmful and criminal. All depends on the political idea of the state. Therefore, it is very important for the entrepreneurial sector to participate in the development of this idea.
