Moscow, September 29, 2003. On Sunday the Central Electoral
Commission of the RF satisfied the pledge of Deputy Chairman of the YABLOKO
party Sergei Mitrokhin
who had asked that the movement "Yabloko Without Yavlinsky" be
recognised as unlawful election propaganda and adopt measures to abolish
the movement. According to Rosbalt correspondent, the Central Electoral
Commission adopted a decision to forward the documents on the operations
of this movement to the Interior Ministry of the RF and General Office
of the Public Prosecutor. The Head of the Central Electoral Commission
Alexander Veshnyakov said that mass media should consider the illegality
of the operations of the "Yabloko Without Yavlinsky" movement,
when reporting on its activities. "Yabloko Without Yavlinsky"
is not financed from the election fund. It was not even registered and
we still don't know who stands behind the organisation," stressed
Veshnyakov.
