| Moscow, March 25, 2003. (RIA Novosti) - The military
campaign of the anti-Iraqi coalition is proceeding more or less
according to plan in purely military aspects. Politically, however,
the US has already begun to lose the war. This view was expressed
at a press conference in Moscow by Alexei
Arbatov, Deputy Chariman of the State Duma Defence Committee.
Arbatov said it was too early to jump to hasty conclusions that
"the military campaign was faltering, although it would appear
to be proceeding slightly less quickly than expected. "In
two to three weeks Baghdad, Basrah and the other cities will be
taken," he predicted.
