St.Petersburg. We can expect the words uttered during the St.Petersburg
Dialogue to be followed by investments, said deputy of the State
Duma of the Russian Federation Igor Artemyev in an interview with
a correspondent of the"Rosbalt" information agency.
Artemyev also noted that he had obtained a favourable impression
from the "St. Petersburg Dialogue" Forum. "This meeting will
definitely have some positive impact on Russian-German relations,"
noted Artemyev, adding that he had previously attended such events,
but that "they don't always have such awarm atmosphere Artemyev
also said that this may be attributable to the fact that President
Putin is regarded to be a Germanophile in Germany and gains special
respect.
According to Artemyev, the German participants of the Forum
were veryopen and "spoke about Russia as they understood it, without
any protocol and in real terms." Therefore Artemyev expressed
his hope that some real investments wouldfollow all these words.
According to Artemyev, even though he is a member of Yabloko and
not a Unity deputy "he was not silenced", and everybody who wanted
to speak wasgiven a change to express their opinion.
He also said that when he asked for achange to speak at the
round table talk, the moderator Oleg Moroz said with a sign, "This
is Igor Artemyev, representative from Yabloko, who will now make
a speech about the civil society." "He guessed correctly, as always,"
noted Artemyev.
