The usage of Internet technologies in the organisation of elections
has been discussed for a long time [in Russia] already. Now the
Yabloko party will hold a conference “Internet at Elections” on
July 12–14 looking at this beneficial topic.
The leader of Yabloko Grigory Yavlinsky will make the keynote
speech at the conference. Yabloko is currently preparing a number
of new projects for the realisation of public control over elections
through the use of the Internet. In particular, these concern
the use of the institution of observers and members of electoral
commissions for the collection, processing and publication of
the signed copies of voting protocols online.
