A meeting of deputy of the Moscow City Duma Sergei Mitrokhin with owners of garages pulled down at Podvsoiskogo street took place by the municipal council building of the Presnya District, Moscow. Sergei Mitrokhin informed the meeting that he had received an answer on his deputy’s inquiry addressed to the head of the property Department of Moscow Vladimir Silkin. The answer, however, did not clear up the point why some owners had been granted property title while other had not.
In this situation Sergei Mitrokhin forward an inquiry to the Moscow Mayor. The garages owners who came to the meeting with a placard “Return Our Property!” are going to hold the next action by the Property Department building.
“It is very important for us to create a precedent here: the city should implement its obligations compensating parking places for the garages owners, especially on the threashold of construction of the Fourth Trasport Circle Road of Moscow, or else the city government will face enormous difficulties in persuading owners to agree with elimination of their property simply for the sake of construction works,” said Mitrokhin.
