The meeting of the Bureau of the YABLOKO party drew preliminary results of the action on collection of signatures under a petition to the President of Russia against growth of tariffs in the housing and utilities services sector.
Over 29,000 were collected as of May 22, 2009.
Picketing and meetings were held in 27 Russian regions.
Signatures were collected in 52 Russian Federation subjects.
After discussing the preliminary results of the action the Bureau of the YABLOKO party adopted a decision to specially mark the performance of the party branches functioning in the following regions: the Altai Area, Astrakhan, Vladimir, Volgograd, Vologda, the Baikal Area, Kaliningrad, the Leningrad Region, Mordovia, Moscow, the Moscow Region, Novosibirsk, the Maritime Territory, Pskov, Ryazan, Saratov, Tver, Tula, Udmurtia and Chelyabinsk.
