After Taimuraz Mamsurov, head of the North Ossetia, and Yunus-bek-Yevkurov,
head of Ingushetia, signed a programme for broadening of cooperation
among republics, activists of youth movements also held their
actions targeted at prevention of conflicts.
Youth public and human rights organisations from Chechnya,
North Ossetia, Kabardino-Balkaria and Ingushetia met at the
forum Youth for Peace at the Caucasus. YABLOKO activists from
the North Ossetian branch of the party also took part in the
forum.
“Young people encourage rapproachment of nations. It is necessary
to reduce psychological discomfort between the Ingush and
the Ossetian people now,” said Elona Playeva, YABLOKO activist
and member of the Public Commission for Settlement of the
Conflict between the two nations.
The participants of the forum also noted that such meetings
of youth organisations “strengthen relations among peoples
living in the Caucasus and form a reliable foundation for
further generations”.
