The Central Electoral Committee needs to
process the final 2% of the bulletins and tally the present
figures with the data in the protocols of the electoral
districts commissions before the final official results
are announced.
According to data received from the Central
Electoral Commission, 98.03% of the bulletins have been
processed. The following parties lead in terms of votes:
the CPRF (24.29%) and "Unity" (23.24%). They are
followed by "Fatherland -All Russia" (13.12%),
the "Union of Right Wing Forces" (8.6%), "Zhórinovsky
Bloc" (6.04%) and Yabloko (5.98%).
It is worth noting that 3.32% of the electorate
voted against all the candidates. According to the Central
Electoral Committee, 61.77% of Russia's citizens with the
right to vote participated in the elections (total - 107
million).
The Central Electoral Commission is still
receiving protocols from electoral district commissions
with voting result. Once the data from the protocols has
been verified and compared with the figures available today,
we will be able to talk about the official election results.
According to the Central Electoral Committee, this data
can be published before New Year, on December 29-30.
